What does it mean to be an expert for John Wadsworth, senior vice president? Working with a large healthcare client on site selection and land search for a replacement hospital, John overcame many obstacles with perseverance and dedication. Due to economic challenges, a lack of available land and healthcare legislation changes, the assignment hit a lot of roadblocks. Finally, a break in the clouds came as John was able to find the right fit for the client and closed on a land sale. Unfortunately, the challenges continued as regulatory approval and entitling took an additional two years to complete. Despite these obstacles, construction has begun after nine years of hard work. It took a great deal of creativity and deep local market expertise to accomplish this deal and achieve a favorable outcome for the client.
