DO WHAT’S RIGHT FOR OUR CLIENTS, PEOPLE AND COMMUNITIES.
Integrity is essential to Colliers and the trust we develop internally sets the tone for the relationships we build externally.
What does it mean to do what’s right for Jeff Gerwig, national engineering manager? Seeing a growing trend towards the use of Property Condition Assessments as a value-add for clients, Jeff saw a challenge. The assessments were done inconsistently, in some cases making information difficult to understand. Doing what’s right, Jeff coordinated with several market leaders to develop one comprehensive and detailed template and fee structure allowing for consistency and transparency across the U.S. business. The assessment now guides clients on concerns and costs for repairs, typically equating to a $1 million-worth negotiating tool during due diligence, which establishes strong trust that often results in property management opportunities for REMS.
This series highlights stories from Colliers U.S. professionals that exemplify our values, displaying who we are, what we do and how we are different in order to maximize the potential of property to accelerate the success of our clients and our people.
