by | 11 November 2021

Imagine sitting at a conference table with a coworker in London, another in Hong Kong and a third in New York. Think of Zoom on steroids — implementing advanced technologies in augmented and virtual reality to put you inside what seems like a real room with your global contacts.

That’s the metaverse. Much of it is already here, and if you’re not paying attention, you could be left behind. The good news is, it’s not too late to learn and prepare for potential opportunities that are arising. Listen now, as we welcome Steve Weikal, Head of Industry Relations at the MIT Center for Real Estate. He’s joining us to discuss the intersection of the virtual world and the physical world. This month’s topic: How will the metaverse take over our physical and virtual space?

Boundaries between reality and fantasy are blurring, as 3-dimensional immersive experiences break new ground when applied to all parts of CRE, from owner-occupier services to real estate development. Will virtual properties in metaverse worlds become the next CRE opportunity? Or will technology simply allow us to represent the physical world more realistically? It could be both! Learn more and find out how to stay ahead of the game.
